President - Marc Davies

As Co-Founder of Active Opportunities it has been a shared vision to provide quality accessible sports programs to people with a disability, ensuring these community members have the same access to sports programs to develop their fundamental movement skills, learn new sports and most importantly have fun!

Marc’s personal background is in Program Management where he is currently employed by NSW Health as a Program Manager for the Healthy Children Initiative program. Marc has also worked for many years with the Australian Sports Commission, Police Citizens Youth Clubs (PCYC) and as a Facility Manager in many of Sydney’s Leisure and Aquatic Facilities.

Treasurer - Deepak David

Having known Jas & Marc since the formation of Active Opportunities, I appreciated the passion and desire they both had to assist, empower and support the physical development of children. A lot of these children are simply not given the opportunity to participate in sports and physical activities. Jas & Marc's vision to create a safe environment for children with disabilities to live a healthy lifestyle is something I have taken on board and plan to support them as well as the organisation. Deepak is a Chartered Accountant with over 7 years of experience. His interests include football, basketball and trying new cuisines

Secretary - Edward Ferguson

Having been involved with community and sport programs for the previous 8 years I was immediately attracted to Active Opportunities as it provides the perfect vehicle to support families, communities and individuals to foster healthy lifestyles. The passion and dedication of all involved within Active Opportunities excited me to become part of this team as they aspire to provide sports and personal development programs throughout Sydney.

I hope to add knowledge and experience to the Active Opportunities team, fostering the growth of our footprint across Sydney whilst maintaining the unique personal approach shown by our members. Sports has been a significant part of my life and my aim is to provide all within our society the same opportunities I have had, helping shape my personality, friendships and enjoyment in life

Board Member - Tom Kelly

The chance to assist a wonderfully motivated and professional team in developing and supporting persons with a disability or from disadvantaged communities makes me very proud. The work Active Opportunities has initiated within the community has bought many similes and support to individuals, families and organizations. I look forward to the challenges of the future and helping Active Opportunities touch many more people within our community.

Tom’s professional background is in the Business Development area of IT and currently working as an Account Manager for EMC Pty Ltd.
